Q: Who is involved in developing the care plan?
A: A plan of care could be developed during the free assessment with the Director of Care Management and with you and your family. The assessment is done in your home or home setting (Assistant Living or Nursing Home) to determine the care needed and duration. The plan of care is completely customized to meet the daily living needs and is flexible to increase or decrease as needed.

Q: Will it always be the same person who comes to the house to provide care?
A: If the plan of care calls for a set schedule we will assign a primary caregiver to the case. We also like to orientate and have a secondary caregiver as a back up in case the primary caregiver has to call out this way another provider is familiar with the client and the services to perform.

Q: Does the rate go up if I need overnight or weekend care?
A: The rate does not change whether it is days, nights, or weekends. The only time the rate increases is during scheduled Holidays. A week prior to Holidays the office will call and notify you and you could determine if you want services that day or want to reschedule.

Q: If I am not happy with the caregiver am I able to replace them with another caregiver?
A: We understand some personalities might not be compatible. During the assessment we try to get enough information to determine the type of caregiver to send. If for some reason you decide you would like to try another caregiver all you have to do is contact the staffing supervisor and a replacement will be sent out as soon as possible.

Q: Are there associated fees with changing the care plan?
A: NuLife Senior Care does not charge to make changes on the care plan unless services change from an individual to a couple rate or multiple personal hygiene services are added like bathing assistance and incontinence care. The care plans are tailored to meet the daily living needs whether services are increasing or decreasing. We are here to help you or your loved one.
